FAQ on Prospect Camp
If my player plans to play Girls Travel Hockey next season, should she attend?
Yes. This camp is the primary development and evaluation opportunity leading into next season’s team formation. Coaches will start forming teams right away.
Is there a prorated option?
The camp is priced with the expectation that most players will miss a couple of sessions due to travel or other commitments. If you are from out of town or can only attend a limited number of sessions, please contact your age-group coach. They will do their best to accommodate you, but priority will be given to full campers.
We have many questions about next season. How can we get answers?
We will host multiple optional parent information sessions during the camp. It can be difficult to address every question via email, so our recommendation is to attend camp and speak with coaches daily and meet with the directors during scheduled information sessions.
My daughter is nervous about taking the next step.
Our goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment. While competition increases at older ages, we work hard at younger age levels to provide development options appropriate for all players and to make the transition comfortable.
My daughter is a top player and wants to play up or be "challenged more."
The first step is registering for your correct age group and then notifying the coach. Dallas Stars Elite has no ceiling for development, and players can be moved up after evaluation once camp sessions begin.
