Dallas Stars Elite College Prep was developed in partnership with Frisco ISD’s Frisco Flex program to address the challenge for elite athletes through a coordinated, student-centered model. 

By integrating a flexible, robust academic offering with daily supplemental hockey development, the program supports student-athletes in maximizing their on-ice potential while maintaining full participation in a structured academic environment.

Students learn alongside peers who share similar academic goals and athletic commitments, fostering a focused learning environment built on accountability, collaboration, and mutual support.

This model prepares students for multiple postsecondary options, including college and professional opportunities, while reinforcing strong academic foundations.

Program Overview

• Dallas Stars Elite College Prep is a student-athlete development program designed in partnership with Frisco Flex to support motivated 9th through 12th grade students pursuing advanced academics alongside elite Tier I hockey. 

• Program is open to both Dallas Stars Elite Girls and Boys.

• Program schedule follows the Frisco ISD academic calendar through Frisco Flex and will operate during normal school hours, on-site at a dedicated classroom in Valley Ranch. 

• Students enrolled in the program remain fully registered with Frisco ISD through Frisco Flex, while participating in a structured daily schedule that balances academic coursework, on-ice training, off-ice development, and recovery. 



• The program emphasizes academic accountability, individualized learning plans, and consistent communication between families, educators, and hockey staff to ensure students meet or exceed academic expectations while benefiting from a high-performance athletic environment.
