Shooting Program

DALLAS STARS ELITE OFF-SEASON SHOOTING PROGRAM

This program is designed to help players improve their scoring ability while developing discipline, confidence, and accountability through consistent training and mentorship.

This program is more than just a shooting program; it is a structured development experience focused on helping athletes grow both on and off the ice.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Program Dates: April – July 2026

Total Sessions: 16 sessions but 20 time slots in case you can't make a session

Session Length: 45 minutes per session

Shots Per Session: 150–300 shots

Cost: $600 total

(Equivalent to $37.50 per session)

Installment plans are available. 150 x 4, each installment at the beginning of the month.

Eligibility: Open to 10U – 19U girls

Sessions will take place once per week, with training times coordinated between the coach and player.

TRAINING FOCUS

Each week will focus on specific shooting techniques to help players improve their overall scoring ability, including:

Quick release
Accuracy
Shooting in stride
Shooting off passes
Backhand shots
Rebound scoring
Game-situation finishing

Our philosophy emphasizes quality over quantity, helping players develop proper mechanics and strong scoring habits that translate directly into games.

At-Home Practice & Accountability

To maximize improvement, players will also be expected to complete 100 shots per day at home.

Players will track their daily shots using a shared accountability tracker, helping them stay consistent and committed to their development.

Each week, players will also submit a short video of an at-home shooting session to Josselyn. These videos allow the coach to provide feedback and ensure players are practicing with the correct technique.

Mentorship & Development

In addition to skill development, this program focuses on mentorship and building strong habits that support long-term success in hockey.
