Aspen Lukasezck Commits

Aspen Lukasezck Joins the University of Wisconsin-Superior!

We are excited to announce that Aspen Lukasezck, daughter of Bryan and Scarlet Lukasezck, has committed to the University of Wisconsin-Superior to continue her hockey career and pursue a degree in Communications Multi-Media Journalism starting in Fall 2025!

A native of Aurora, CO, Aspen has spent the past two seasons with Dallas Stars Elite, where she has been a driven and dedicated two-way player. Known for her "team-first" mentality, she has consistently given her all to make both herself and those around her better.

Reflecting on her time at DSE, Aspen’s favorite memories include the unforgettable Christmas party in Boston in 2023 and scoring two goals against OHA in Exeter, NH. These moments highlight not just her skill, but the camaraderie and spirit she brought to every game.

Her parents, Bryan and Scarlet, shared their heartfelt pride and a bit of wisdom:

"Do you walk to work or carry your lunch? We’re so proud of you. It’s been our greatest privilege to be on this journey with you. Congratulations on your most recent accomplishment, and we look forward to seeing everything this next chapter brings. Go Yellowjackets! And remember, keep your head up, butt down, and always look for the opportunity!"

A passionate competitor on the ice and a die-hard Broncos fan off it (Go Broncos! Let’s Ride!!!), Aspen is ready to bring her talent, work ethic, and love for the game to Wisconsin-Superior.

“Aspen is a dynamic two-way winger with a knack for delivering in clutch moments. Her powerful shot and unwavering commitment to her team’s success set her apart. One of the standout moments from Aspen’s career was her leadership and selflessness during the 2023-2024 Regionals, where she consistently put her teammates' success first. She is not only a great player but also an exceptional leader, teammate, and friend. There is no doubt that Aspen will thrive at the University Wisconsin-Superior. Her success is a testament to the power of patience and trusting the process—proving that good things come to those who stay committed and persevere.”

-Mike Salekin, Dallas Stars Elite Girls Hockey Director

Congratulations, Aspen! We can’t wait to see all you accomplish as a Yellowjacket. Best of luck in this next chapter!
